So far, so good

So far, so good-
Into the night, that dark most hour
In which we long for, hope and pray,
Gleaming rays of endless sun
To smite the silv'ry moon,

On and on and so it goes
That trouble comes, our endless foe
Who lust for blood and pain
And crushed our hearts that day.

But we overcame-
The blood of the Lamb, the pow'rful Word
Which was once spake to us all
By him we live and breathe and move-

By Him we overcame.

I haven't finished it. *shrug* Maybe I will later.

The Funk

So I've been working at the bookstore for nearly a week. I now have to decide if I'm keeping this one or working at the Teddy Bear Factory. It's a tough decision and I'm not having an easy go of it. I have to decide pretty quick, though.

On the twenty-third we leave for Washington State, and I'm sure I should have something more interesting to post by then. I'm thinking of buying an audio Bible. I've been thinking about it for awhile, and I think it'll help me with Scripture memorization.

Haven't worked on my story in awhile; can't decide what to do next. Meh. I really should just go back to freewriting for awhile; it's a lot less frustrating, as you don't ever worry about what happens next--because it's freewrite. :P

Sorry I haven't been on IM much; I just really, really prefer talking to people in person right now. Furthermore, IM keeps me up later than I need to be up, and for the time being email is the best way to get ahold of me. And please do email me; I love getting email, and I promise I'll reply. 0=)

So yeah. Stuff happens. Happened. Hum. Whichever. *grins*

Guess I'm done blabbing. 0=)

Gardening

So I started reading Black again. Dad's buying Red today. bwahaha.... I've been weeding flower beds, and every time I close my eyes, I see green plants digging desperately into the ground, trying to prevent me from yanking them up. Then I fall flat on my bum. :P hehehe.....

But anyway, while I was out there working in the garden/flowerbed, it came to me: No one will ever holler at me for being a plant killer because I pulled weeds out of my garden. Think about it. "Save the earth" never applies to garden weeds. We see them, we rip them mercilessly out of the ground and throw them away, destroying the natural habitat of multi-legged critters with scales, tales, antennae, soft shells, webs; and even bright green tree lizards must face the mighty wrath of spring time when the humans go to plant flowers or tomatoes or something in their place. These uprooted, homeless wanderers must then migrate to the neighbor's yard, or move across the street, only to be uprooted again.

But everyone complains if the front yard doesn't look good. ;)

hehe. Just a thought while sweat beads dripped off my nose and more mud stained my hands, bare feet, and clothes than there's been in a long time. So yes, there you have it: Confessions of a ruthless plant killer. 0=)

Did I mention I got the job at the bookstore? They called me today. I start Tuesday, at ten. :P
